How it’s calculated
The elements come from the East Asian 사주 (saju) calendar. Your birth date is split into year, month and day pillars (간지, ganji); each pillar carries one of the five elements — wood, fire, earth, metal, water. We count which elements dominate for each of you, find the leading one, and read how your two sets combine: reinforcing, complementary or clashing.
